Just wanted to say this is a really nice club, great people and great facility. Very happy they welcomed me tonight as a new member. I highly recommend it if you live in the area.

How long does it take to join? Do you need sponsors?
It's a 2 month process and you need a member of at least a year to sponsor you.
Yeah, I'd be interested... but need a sponsor
same here! I would love to join this club I shot bow there once years ago and really liked the place
I want to join but I don't know any members there. I called them yesturday and asked the man that answered how do I get sponsored if I don't know any members and he was basically clueless, so I'll have to try someone else there. And what's the backround check involve and why is it needed?
My buddy tends bar up there. Cool spot.
I enjoy manipulating mechanical devices which propel small lead projectiles through space at high velocity.
I just got a friend of mine to sponsor me there. Going to start the "process" in October after i get back from vacation.
Will do!
Any updates? I'm very interested in joining this club, but like most here I don't know anyone as a sponsor. .
I was voted in last month. I've used there inside pistol range quite a few times now. In order for me to get sponsored I went up there in person, the bartender gave me the membership book to look through. They have 1100 members and between me and my wife we found a few people we knew.
It's a drinking club with a gun problem.
Skeet fields are almost never open, and the indoor range is constantly closed because they do catering and receptions there.
They *ARE* one of the few clubs in the area accepting new members though...
I can only comment on the pistol range but it has never been closed out of all the times I have been there which has been about 6, as a matter of fact I'm always there by my self. As far as the bar goes I don't drink there and It's a no brainer that drinking and shooting does not mix.
I gotta completely disagree with you. I've been a member since May and have not once experienced a problem. The indoor range is open 24/7 and I've never seen it closed when I wanted to shoot. You're right they do close it when there's a party right above it, but that's usually later at night and only for the few hours that the party is going on for. As for the skeet fields, they have nice equipment and a lot invested in it so they want people properly trained in operating it. They also have open trap shooting once a week and regular competitions in the summer. You also can use the field anytime you want if you bring your own thrower. They are also always accepting new members, they don't close membership at a certain number.
When it's light out, I shoot outside. They either need to be a gun club or a banquet facility. Members should not be prevented from shooting so someone can have a wedding reception.
It takes about 2 minutes to show someone how to operate those machines. The truth is, those machines weren't purchased by the club, they were purchased by a member, and HE decides when the skeet fields get opened. The club never should have allowed that arrangement, but it's been like that for a decade.
Trap =/= Skeet.
Hand thrown targets =/= skeet.
Just joined, my first reading is the end of this month, and my second in Jan, like 1.5weeks before I see the judge for my pistol permit! Been here a few times over the last year and really like the place.
Firing, Unlocking, Extracting, Ejecting, Cocking, Feeding, Chambering, and Locking.
