I am new to pistol mag pouches. Do most people prefer the bullets to face forward or rearward? Rearward seems more natural to me for reloads, but maybe there's something I'm not considering?

    RPD teaches bullets forward.
When drawing, place index finger on the edge pointing to bullet point.
when loading, it seems to naturally position the mag without fumbling.
    Works well for me.

The mag ends its travel from your belt to the gun in a bullets-forward position (when loaded). I can't imagine why you wouldn't want it to be carried that way, its one less movement you have to make when reloading.

I guess it depends how you grab the mag.

With bullets facing rearward, I grab the mag with my thumb on the rear (which is facing forward) of the bottom of the mag. It's a smooth movement from mag holder to gun without any twisting motion. Then once the mag is inserted, my hand is already oriented in the proper position to rack the slide.

Going to search for videos now..........

Wouldn't there HAVE to be a twisting motion? The mag has to rotate 180 degrees at some point.
