Default New Smith & Wesson Model M&P15FT

Just picked one up today .... real sweet piece ....solid and tight (as it should be for the $$$) real happy with it minus the stock length ...which leads me into a question ... is the tube on those mil-spec or commercial size? .... and what exactly is the size difference between the two?

It is mil-spec. It can not be unpinned, adjusted, and re-pinned. Close in size, but I would still with Mil-spec if your going to replace it... You will also need a new buffer tube if you want to get a new stock and have it pinned.

This I know because I own the same thing.

    Nice Piece.

Ok OK heres most of the "family"

The yellow one is a heavy barreled Remington 597 Yellowjacket with an "ok' Tasco 6 - 24 x 42 on it.Polished the bolt and rails

The green one is savage 110 or 111 something .270 polished up some of the internals seated and bedded the pillars properly ... opened up the channel a little better , stiffened the for-end added a better bolt handle and threw on a Nikon Monarch 4 - 16 x 42

The bottom is the M&P ....havn't done anything to it yet
