Angry Can't ship a picatinny rail and vertical grip? Huh?

So, I tried to order a picatinny rail/vertical grip package this morning and it said because of local laws they couldn't ship to my address? Huh?

    For a vertical fore grip?

    Thumbs down

Who'd you try to order from? Certain vendors like 'cheapasdirt' don't ship anything to NY unless it's like a scope or generic item.

    Yea who knows.

Pick out parts and see if Mike from Allstar-Tactical can get them from you!!!

Bravo-Company, PK Firearms, and eBay are a few other online vendors I have used and have had no problems.

I bought some 30-round mags of cheapasdirt one time and then they called me a week later (after I had gotten them), to send them back because they messed up and shipped them to me. They were pre-ban mags, so I told them to take a hike and I never bought anything from them again.

When I built my most recent M4, CTD wouldn't even ship a PARTS KIT to my address in N.Y. I was absolutely dumbfounded.

I guess the moral of the story is don't buy anything other than ammo from CheaperThanDirt?

I can live with that. Thanks for all the help, everyone.

Instead buy from Allstar, where they will order and explain everything to you, so you don't run into NYS law issues.

The reason alot of places won't ship to here is because of two words... Mayor Bloomberg...

I have had this happen with both Midway, and CTD. I will not buy from either now.

    The midway one was ammo...

So **** you Larry poterfield, and that's the it really is.

The moral is don't buy ANYTHING from CTD, because where they live dirt must be damn expensive.

Never had an issue with Midway.

A lot of places deny sales to NY simply because they don't know the laws on what we can and can't have and really don't care to take the time and assume the liability to learn them. Honestly I can't say I blame them. I have heard of some times when the customer called them and informed them f the correct law and they ended up shipping it.

CTD was one of the big price gougers after the election. Screw them.

I can get un-fired brass, complete with powder, primer, and bullet for $13.99 from Wal-Mart. Some company named Federal actually puts them all together for you in a nice little box! It's pretty amazing, I gotta tell you.

EDIT: That was strange. It originally said once fired .40 brass for $15.99. To which my reply would have made sense.

I wouldn't even buy ammo from them. I've found places cheaper than them. They don't deserve my business. Period. Neither does Dick's Sporting Goods, but that's a whole different issue.

The hell it is! I'll drive from Rochester to Buffalo on a lark just to get chicken wings or to go to BGC. Chicken wings + BGC is even better! There's nothing quite like eating hot wings with RemOil on your hands.

I have had nothing but good experiences with brownells or topgunsupply. I used to buy from CTD but looking back the things I bought were only cheaply made. Sportsmansguide usually has decent prices on ammo.

I buy from everybody, and CTD and Midway are both great outfits. However, alot of people around the country think NYC = NY. just the way it is. as someone mentioned above, you can thank Mayor Bloomberg and his anti-2A nuts.
