How to like your 995 again .... sort of

Ok so the Mrs wanted me to do something with her HiPoint 995 - she felt the way , I am sure everyone feels about that firearm - cheap/clunky/reliable/fun/cheap/clunky .... so I did the ATI restock - a simple and fast way to improve the feel and ergonomics - and really probably about the only thing that is actually worth the money to throw into the cheap little carbine.
I was able to get the ATI stock with the full aluminum top rail , bottom and side rails(wasn't sure about how the bottom rail would feel but is not bad) for 60$ so thats the one that went on it.
Had a set of MBUS laying around - got a deal on a few Bushnell TRS-25 s so threw one of those on it also ...
I hate to admit it but its actually , almost , I hate to use the word , .... nice-almost. .... nice enough for me to dump a little more money for a better trigger and charging handle which have not showed up yet.
Still have less than $400 in it and most importantly the Mrs likes it.

What stock did you have on it before? The fugly one or the Tactical one?

It was the original fugly one .... if you were looking for the factory tactical one ... Hi-Point Firearms.net - Display Accessories you can get them right from Hipoint now for the original 995 for 40$ ...
