Default RGUNS Review - post, post sale

I've read a lot of things online about the service quality at RGUNS, both before and after I purchased my upper from them. It seems that most people knock them and say to beware.

Back in Jauary, I ordered a 5.56 flat-top, fluted, free-float upper from them for an M4 I was building. Although they didn't offer tracking, they were always nice, answered the phone quickly and made the ordering process easy. The upper arrived quickly and packaged extremely well.

Coupled with a Bushnell illuminated T-dot (ACOG look-alike) this rifle became one of my favorites to shoot; it accompanies me to the range on every outting. Accuracy is better than the scope or my eyes. It sits on an Essential Arms lower with RGUNS stainless steel parts set.

As much as I love this rifle, it's been plagued with FTE problems since day one. I tried running it really wet, which helped slightly, but didn't solve the issue. I upgraded the extractor hardware and that did nothing. I finally came to the conclusion that something was wrong with the bolt or the ejector. I called up RGUNS and talked to Roger--he said send it right back. I told'em I couldn't keep my hands off of it and tore the ejector apart and wetsanded/cleaned it all. He said no problem--send it right back.

I called today to speak to Roger and he said the bolt face was out of spec and that a new one had already been mailed to me.

Just thought people should know that--through the whole process, even when things went bad--I've had nothing but a positive experience with this company. Fit, finish and performance of the upper have been equally great. Purchase with confidence!!

Nice. Always good to hear about positive experiences. So often you only read about the problems. Thanks for posting.

Lol...guys, the way I see it: if you can shoot from a variety of positions in flip flops, you can shoot in anything

Hope it helps some people out, man. They've been a great company to work with and hopefully this dispells some of the bad reviews I've seen on them. It's probably a good thing they don't offer a Beowulf upper!

It's always good to hear which companies stand behind their products. With the popularity of the AR platform and tacticool accesories it seems there have been a ton of companies looking to make a quick buck.

I fell victim to this trend when I was early into the EBR scene. Since then, you won't find any extra doo-dads on my rifles. I've slowly stripped them down to bare-bones and love it.
