Westchester County Permit

I am currently going through the process of applying for my Westchester County Permit. I've received my application, taken the NRA safety course and have obtained an apointment for October '09. I was wondering if anyone has any advice or tips on things to look for as I go through my application. I'd hate to get to the apointment, which I have to wait 5 months for only to be turned away because I answered one of the questions incorrectly.

Any advice is much appreciated!!

I would visit with the instructors in the area some more and chat with them. You do have to remember that some of the info may be from personal experience or bias, so be ready to filter. Go with the majority of what you hear.

That is a bunch Of Bull S--- that you have to wait 6 months to turn in your application and give in your application, if you bought your gun from K&R you can bet your set, westchester suc- big time i cant believe the application now its a book 6 months to put you license in and 6 months to review, 1 year that a bunch of sh--.

Finally got my apointmet to trn in my paperwork. It was surprinsing pleasent. The detective I worked with was very easy going and even helped out on a few things that I needed to correct on my application, voiding it being outright rejected.

Now more waiting... Go my application in January,took 6 months to get my apointment to turn in my application, now up to another 6 months to get my permit... if they don't claim something is wrong with my paperwork.
