no really though the science is there, give it 15 years and well see those use extensively

I didn't think pre-ban applied. There's no hi-cap mag, no 'shoulder thingy that goes up'. So unless they categorize it as a tazer, you should be fine.

Tesla coils are a fairly simple item to make ... not easy - simple ... and are fairly safe .... get some plans build one ... put some banana on the top and it'll zap flies outa the air -

I've actually made a very small one in an electricity class. I know how to make it, just not sure if its worth the time...

Its worth the time when you make big one - like one big enough to lay out a 2 foot spark/bolt .....
