there's no blade length rules? I could have a 3" or 6 or 8" blade if I wanted? What about sheathed vs flip open?
Benchmade Barrage
Kershaw leek. It's small enough to be convenient and very sharp. I love the kershaws. The speedsafe rocks and their american made blades hold an edge like no other I've ever used.

I love both

I have that same Gerber. I never gave it the Loc-Tite treatment unfortunately, and a few screws managed to work their way out in short time.
Benchmade Presidio Axis. Just got her back from Benchmade after her yearly tune up and sharpening.

Fox karambit. Scary thing!
I had the same issue but went on Gerber's website and requested the screws. They sent them to me the same day for free. Not even shipping charges. When I got them, though, I used the loc-tite and have not had any problems since. I love it and it holds the edge very well.
Wow, surprised to see so many people that actually have Benchmade knives. I have two knives I like to use myself Benchmade Nimravus tanto, and my newest beater a Gerber Prodigy tanto. Fixed blade FTW.
My EDC is a Kimber Pro Carry II in .45 ACP, my backup is a Glock 19 RTF2, and my emergency EDC is a Ruger LCP.
I also keep an AR and a Remington 870 with me.
I have no room for a knife.
99% of the time I'm wearing one of my eight Spydercos, whether it's at work or just "out." Out of all of them, my very favorite is a Bob Terzuola C15 from the early 90's. G10 scales, extremely quiet liner lock and very, VERY well balanced. Almost feels like it's not even in your hand, when it is.

My newest EDC just arrive and just finished honing the edge.

Well it's been almost a month since I receieved and started using my ost recent EDC fixed blade and now I've got another one on it's way in for EDC use. I need help. This is knife 14 and counting here at the house!
"Old" knife, Gerber Prodigy Tanto. Good solid knife. Blade is stout at 3/16" thick and is full tang, w/ glass break butt. I love this knife and will continue to EDC off and on between my other knives, but I need to make a new sheath for it. The one it came with is quite nice but is purpose built to keep the blade tightly secured in a rough 'n tumble type place(such as on a soldier equipped Molle vest). Makes it difficult to extract when just belted to your side when you just wan to open a box. Blade takes an edge decently, it's no 154CM material like my Nimravus, but then you wouldn't catch me beating the Nimravus the way I do with this Prodigy. For now I will retire it to my rapid deployment emergency bag as a SHTF blade.
New knife, Browning Stone Cold Tanto Paracord: Haven't received it yet as it's on backorder. My buddy ordered one for himself as well as I've nagged him about getting a serious fixed blade knife for awhile now. This isn't a top of the line knife by any means. I'm hoping actually that 's a little thinner profile than the Prodigy just for EDC and if the sheath isn't up to par with this I'll just make a new one out of kydex and call it a day for now. Will report on it's quality soon enough. No knife I own sits pretty for long. I'll probably pull it right out of the packaging and immediately go knife throwing with it(one of my past time hobbies)

Benchmade makes some really great knives. Had an Osborne that I lost, then bought the Nimravus. They have a new one called the LFTi which has a solid one piece titanium handle. Problem is I have rifle parts I need to buy too haha!

I carry 2 ka-bar's most of the year. Unless I'm wearing shorts.
ZK acheron on a dog tag chain (neck knife)
USMC on belt. <- this one I don't carry if I'm wearing shorts.
Occasionally I will carry a SOG seal pup elite instead of the USMC
I'd love to get a Benchmade or Zero Tolerance, but if I spent that much on a knife I would loose it for sure. Surprised I havne't lost my Gerber yet.
MOLON LABE!
spyderco dragonfly 2 salt...its super small, but that's what i like in an edc
Regarding Benchmade knives:
I love my Barrage, carry it every day. However, I recently ordered two Kershaw Speedsafe knives when they were on woot.com, $13.99 each. I got the Drone and the Burst. I think they're about $20 normally.
For the difference in price ($13.99 for the Kershaw on Woot vs. about $120 on Amazon right now for the Benchmade), it's no contest. The Kershaws open just as easily, have a standard liner lock, and are sharp and durable. The only noticeable difference is the Benchmade has a safety, which I never use. If aliens came to this planet and compared the two they would not be able to tell the difference. Consider its over 90% less money, I'd advise anyone considering a Benchmade to pick up one of these assisted openers instead.
I'll probably still carry the Benchmade locally, but when I travel the cheap Kershaw is going with me.
I still carry a walther btk which has served well and is still is my usual edc. I did however order another swiss army alox farmers today
(lost my old one somewhere). Purely because Sometimes you never know when you're going to need more than just a blade.
