As a side note for the guys that like to fish, the swamp across the street from the ranges has some nice bass in it. I'm sure if we set something up and have enough guys committed a few of the closer guys could go out and secure a spot. We could do a Phone number list for the guys that are coming further away. That way if there is any problem we could give them a call.
It only takes me about 15 minutes, but I wouldn't want the guys driving an hour or 2 to get here and not be able to shoot for some reason.

You don't need a pistol....... Rifle, shotgun,BB gun, blowgun, slingshot, I think it's more about meeting up with a great group of guys, the guns and shooting is just a better way to explain to the wives and girlfriends that we are going out to play with our new friends. Hell, bring a straw and some spitballs LOL!!

    just an idea
Is the Alabama hotel still open? Last time I was by there I didn't see any signs or anything on the building. They did have good food though.

If we did a weekend a few guys would probably need to go early to get a spot. a few of them have some good sized areas where we could set up some tables and maybe a couple pop up tents (depending on the weather) not many shade trees around. I'm sure we could come up with some Ideas if we were to make a day of it.

    Alabama hotel is still open

Ive never been to the swamps range but if they have the room and allow people to set up shade canopy's and stuff that would be cool

There is enough room on the middle berm for all that . If people got there early enough before noon then that spot no matter the day could be held
you can't start shooting there till noon of course I used too take the Rez trip for smokes and always went around the corner too do some plinking

Agree that Alabama Swamps is probably the best location. No worries about range fees, club membership, or plinking bans. Seems like this NYF Buffalo meet-up has the potential to turn the Swamps into the Wild West at some point in the future. LOL.
How long have you been a member at Hartland? This is my 2nd year there. I am usually there on Fridays trimming the grass and cutting the weeds on the berms. Great range. Do you ever go to the meetings?
