    Default Mil spec smoke grenades

    Does anyone know if Milspec smoke grenades are legal in NY?

    They are legal in most other states.

    I bought a couple when I went down to Texas they had them in a gunshop for like $25 a piece and me and a couple friends had fun with them. I don't have any now though, wish I did.

    I honestly don't see why they would be illegal, they are not destructive devices.

    You can order some M-18's off this Web site.

    www.smokegrenade.net for all of your tactical smoke grenade training with Paintball, Airsoft, Police Training, Fire Training, Military Training

    I used to bring some home from the field for my nephews to have fun with

    ????

    What does that have to do with "military style" smoke grenades?

    And the UCMJ only applies to members of the uniformed armed services of the United States or retirees.

    Core, here you go.

    "Any person subject to this chapter who, without proper authority--
    (1) sells or otherwise disposes of;
    (2) willfully ore through neglect damages, destroys, or loses; or
    (3) willfully or through neglect suffers to be lost, damaged, sold, or wrongfully disposed of;
    any military property of the United States, shall be punished as a court-martial may direct."

    "There are hundreds of millions of gun owners in this country, and not one of them will have an accident today. The only misuse of guns comes in environments where there are drugs, alcohol, bad parents, and undisciplined children. Period."

    Ok, perhaps I was too subtle.

    In reference to the M18 smoke grenade Sprout wrote;

    “I used to bring some home from the field for my nephews to have fun with”

    This implies that Sprout was in the military.

    This also implies that he wrongfully disposed of military property.

    Therefore, I referenced Article 108 of the UCMJ.

    I hope this has cleared up any confusion.

    Wow, sounds like the same thing they said when people wanted balck rifles.

    We use to use them at R/C airplane and helo events in Texas.
    They are fun to pop off
    Great for training and giving a little bit of real FX to it.
    Hell of a conversation when you open your safe and see those hanging on a wall of one side.

    I'd like to get a few, just to have. I wouldn't mind carrying one in my pack when camping/hiking/canoeing/kayaking in the ADK for emergency reasons.

    I'm not saying he can't have them. Just wondering what he was gonna do with them. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I said "Boy, some mil-spec smoke grenades would really come in handy right now!".

    That would be fun with an r/c airplane though.
