    I dont know if this blockhead will or can actually sign this treaty. But if he does it is a direct assault upon the constitution of the US and the people of the United States.

    From what ive heard on Fox from their legal experts, treaties override the Constitution....and they are INCREDIBLY difficult to get rid of once they are enacted/adopted.

    Finding a loophole in the law may make it legal ,but doesnt make it right.

    Remember everything Adolph Hitler did was legal too. and if we combine this treaty with the newer homeland security defintion , most of us arnt getting anymore guns,

    The question also then arises to whom do we owe allegience? the constitution or the government??

    the UN has been trying to do this for years. it will NOT happen. any treaty has to be ratified by congress before it becomes law here. if you look back this same treaty gets airtime only during election years. don't be played by the media, make then stick to important issues.

    I could be wrong. I just hope you guys are right. Could just be politics.

    The proposal is definately real. the Canadians are reporting it also . Wether its signed or not or ratified is another matter. Im going to keep an eye on it though.

    If it's any consolation, I am no more willing to give up any of my firearms as I would to give up my iPad or my laptop. The gov't would have to pry either from my cold, dead hands before I'd give them up.

    Have to agree with James that we're really dealing with a politically-motivated scare tactic (I'm sure gun vendors are liking it too, as sales have been through the roof lately). Swallowing the news hook, line, and sinker from a right-wing media source is no better than swallowing the trash spewed from the left-wing/liberal media. I've been spammed several times (Rand Paul, the NRA, etc.) regarding this UN Treaty, so that just further proves the BS political motivation behind it...

    NObama can sign this treaty, but the Senate has to ratify it. IF the Senate ratifies this treaty, the TREATY does become Law-of-the-land

    There is a section of the law that says <paraphrased> that treaties do in fact over ride the constitution and become law of the land.

    Treaties are virtually impossible to get rid of once they are ratified.

    We as Americans should be very concerned about this treaty as it gives ruling authority to a political body NOT PART OF America.

    Regardless of what this treaty is about, Americans should be concerned that our present administration is willing to let an outside body have any say in what happens within our boarders. This gives an useless political body (The U.N.) a political foot in the door of America. And gives douche bags like George Soros one more point for his Social Engineers experiment.


    Remember, you can't have UNETHICAL without the U.N.

    You don't have to look back far, say around 1994 the people did nothing and the assault weapon ban came into effect which we are still under today. It will start there again and maybe go further or not take into account "prebans". It is not likely that we will adopt UN rules but then again I thought the same about Obama care as well.

    PS I almost forgot....who was on that boating trip with me when the boat sank taking along all of our firearms and ammunition... tragically I might add.
