I got Titanium plates for my plate carrier. I'll post pics of it tonight actually..... Can stop multiple hits from 7.62x39 or even a hit from a 30-06 I believe though it's not legally listed as such. It's from a overseas contract run. Purchased from DSG.

    Puirely for reference:

Click for chart that defines levels of bullet resistance for body armor.
Not what type is what material, but actual 'what level X' means.

7.62x39 doesn't even come into play until level 6
(AK fmj and M193 rounds will blow right through 3a, front and back, barely slowing as it passes)

    Stacking isn't a straight mulitplier.
ie: two 3 items do not neccisarily equal a 6
Depending on specifics, it could come out as anything from 7 to as little as a 2

    Hey guys,

This isnt titanium steel plate however I witnessed some of the testing on the VTG "Special Pistol Threat" plate specifically for rapid response home defense considerations NOT for war fighters. Working now on a mini-review with pics etc for the MDTS facebook page, until then I will say this is the best option/plate I have seen for this intended purpose at this weight. Please note all shots taken at 3M. The shotgun test was pretty amazing.
