Philadelphia Gun Laws
Can anyone point me to a link about gun laws in the city of Philadelphia? When I got my PA permit I was under the impression that you weren't allowed to carry in Philly. Now I can't seem to find that confirmation.
We're considering staying in Philly overnight on our way to NC and I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to carry it. Or at least just lock it in the car unloaded and have it with me.
PAFOA says you're good in PA. They reference the pre-emption law.

You can carry in Philly just fine with any permit accepted by PA. The only difference between Philly and the rest of the state is that you can't open carry there without a permit as you can in the rest of the state.
Don't leave a gun in a car in Philly if at all possible. It's not illegal but PAFOA is littered with stories of people that had hassles with the Philly PD after having guns stolen from their cars. If you have a PA permit they will try to get it revoked. Doubt they could do that if you were carrying on another permit but either way it's not worth the hassle.
