Oh boy, just what we need...

Glock is running out of options. You can only dress a block in so many outfits.

For something being $780 on the street, could it be a model 35 or 24-like (long or extra long) in 45 acp? Those are the long and extra long version in 40 cal. For the cheaper model, one could speculate a single stack 9mm. But I already have the SIg P938 for that one.

"The new models from Glock are: Model 41 which is a PracticalTactical .45. The Model 42 is a single stack .380. We can't orderthem yet -we have to wait for Glock to give us the green light. We shouldorder both with a larger number of the 42's."

It's a single stack .380, Glock has gone full retard but it will sell all of them.

Single stack Glock 9mm? Glock 380ACP? Could be a whole different design?

The G41 is a Gen4 .45acp aimed at competition. Touch over 5" barrel. The G42 has a sku at my distributor as well but limited info other than USA made and 10rd. I'm guessing .380 pocket pistol. The G41 has full listing with features and sku#

In their promo pic with the zippo the 380 model is actually behind the lighter if you lighten up the pic. No finger grooves which is a good thing. The internet has done hypothetical size comparisons based on the relative size of the zippo and concluded that the new Glock will be the size of the S&W Bodyguard 380.

It's all just speculation so I'll get you guys pics from Vegas in January

Were we not supposed to see the gun? xD

I saw it and loved the comparison to the Zippo. Didn't notice the no finger grooves though. Nice catch.

380? Meh. Maybe ill get one. They are only in Europe right now for sale in 380.

Please not the ****ty, anemic, target load only, overly priced, well underproduced and supplied 5.7. That would be so so so so dumb.

So .380 is less anemic than 5.7?

That much hate for the 5.7?

People seem to enjoy their Five-Sevens.

I do have a question though...if it is 10 shot, what current single stacks come in 10 round caps, besides .22?

    380 is much more available.
More loads available. Brass, steel, aluminum, etc too..

380 is made by more than 2 companies, unlike 5.7 which FN makes if their union workers decide to show up for work, and American Eagle does too..
5.7 regularly fluctuates up in cost to prohibitive levels on a normal basis. 380 goes up like everything else but not as much, and is still more easily sourced.

5.7 is pretty pointless when civis can't buy the "good" ammo loadings for it.

people "enjoy" their 5-7s sure.. I "enjoy" my single shot 22s, doesn't make them particularly effective or the best option out there for a certain task.

i would take a 380 over a 5.7. Yes. And I've shot both on plenty of occasions.

if we are talking 5-7 pistols with standard capacity mags and the good ammo, that would be a different story.

I'm talking 30 round mags like the PMR-30.

This was obviously totally fantasy. Glock could even make a 5.7GLS. Glock along Slide round.

I agree with most of that.. I guess the point I was trying to make was that 380 is a terrible choice for defense. At least the 5.7's great amount of penetration has something going for it. The 380 has nothing.

Not sure I agree with that.

Some of the modern .380 loads get pretty close to 9. I'm comfortae with 9...

All the Kahrs seem to be under 10, all single stacks, some of them full size even.
Rifle Wants: CETME, AR15, SBR AK in 7.62, Daewoo DR200

Pistol wants: XDM, Used Beretta M9/92FS for carry, S&W 5904/5/6 variant, Browning High Power

    PPS only hits 7.

This is maks me thing we aren't thinking about this correctly.

Zippo lighters are only 2.25ish inches high, closed.

    If it's a .22 then I just don't know anymore.

What if it is just a locked breech, double stack 380? :O Like their current .380 offerings, but locked breech vs. blowback.
