Default I just can't pull the trigger

After getting my permit I went out and bought an SW M&P40 Pro and a Glock 35 for use in shooting league. I always wanted an FN 5-7 practically for sake of having it. My first pistol as a Springfield XD45 which I would like to soon sell and pick up and XDM45 which i have been currently using as my carry firearm. I then went out and then picked up a Browning Buckmark for a .22LR Bullseye league. Now that I purchased the firearms I had a particular use for have been acquired I'm having trouble making up my mind on the next one. Now I have been looking at a Walther PPS and P99. I have also been looking at Glock 17, 19, 23C as well as an SW M&P9. Now I don't mind carrying the XD45 but the gun is a brick in terms of weight. I'm not a huge fan of compacts. I can't stand it if my hand cant grip the whole grip. If a finger hangs off I just can't get comfortable with it and from what a read compacts suck to shoot. They arent fun and aren't pin point accurate. I would like something accurate and fun to shoot at the range while maybe being a little smaller or at least light then the XD45. I really like the feel and size of the Glock 23C and the price is right where I want it to be. Next I like both Walther. I like the PPS and I like the price with the choice of 9mm or 40S&W however I don't know how they shoot. I love the P99 as well for all the same reasons as the PPS. I like its larger frame and how they shoot however I feel they are more then I'd like to spend although not out of the question. What are some outside perspectives or any hands on experience with one, some, or all of them?

Carry piece is always gonna be a compromise of weight, grip and concealability. Can't say I'm a fan of compacts either, but the Glock compacts are good shooters and are pretty much the same gun as their full-size counterparts. It costs a little more, but the Sig P-239 is so far my favorite compact and worth a look.

Yeah I'm trying to find a middle of the road. I just cant see myself buying a tiny just in case carry gun. ive made it 30 years with out needing one and would love to keep it that way. I really want something I can enjoy and take with me from time to time when I find it necessary to do so.

I EDC a S&W M&P40c with the grip extension mags. In my opinion it is not overly cumbersome or heavy, I also think it shoots great. I love the gun it is one of my favorites to shoot and carry. I use it for a ton of stuff from being at my side for deer hunting, working in the woods and just plain ccw. I also think the grip feels way better than a Glocks 2x4 style grip. I was between the 2 when I was buying a primary ccw and it won on comfort alone as well as the good reviews I had read online. I have been carrying it for about 5 years now and don't regret it 1 day... Just my .02 though!

I own an XDm 45, and yeah it is definitely a brick. I have shot both the P99 and PPS in 9mm, and they both shoot well and are lighter than the XDm. Despite popular convention, I shot much better with the PPS. It is small and conceals very well, and I was very surprised with how small the groups were that I was shooting with it given the very short sight radius. The problem with Walthers is price and availability in NY. My buddy who owns both pistols had to search them out online, and definitely paid a little more for them. I also own a Glock 17, still lighter than the XDm. If you went with a Glock 19 I don't think you would be disappointed either. Smaller and more concealable yet large enough that the pinky still fits on the grip. None of then would be a bad choice, It really would be down to what you want to spend and what feels right in your hand...
