Default Chambering a Round w/ one hand

This is pretty crazy.... looks like the Filipinos have one up on the israeles! I think I will stick with the American way.

YouTube - Glock 17 chambering without touching the slide

Anyone have a G17 and want to give it a whirl (dry run of course).

I read the comments under the video on the youtube page, and I believe he says that it is all stock. I think it has something to do with the g17 slide weight to spring setup. I think it is the only one he can do it with.

A bunch of vids of a US competitor doing this popped up a few years ago. Since then every time it comes around again, people start hurting them self's while trying to do it. It's very easy to cause serious damage to your shoulder doing it.

You will be sore tomorrow from trying it.

There is less spring pressure on the trigger and trigger bar when it's been released. Makes the slide move with a bit less resistance. Neat trick.

I'll probably throw my shoulder way out of joint trying it

I bet Bruce Lee coulda done it without having to snatch it backward first using his 1 inch punch technique to simply accelerate the frame out from underneath the slide

The second video was much more helpful in explaining how to do it. Just keep practicing and you'll be able to do it.

    Isn't that a revolver?

And yes... videoed attempts sound like a great contribution to the site.
