this is a copy of a gun called a mateba. it was a semi auto revolver. it came out 15 years(?) ago. it in turn was a copy of an old british pistol, can't remember what it was called. the design has been around at least 100 years though.
Ayoob said it almost eliminates muzzle flip, but all that energy is tranfered to pushing back into your shoulder through your arm.
