This Wednesday, Senate Bill 308, restaurant carry legislation, will be considered by the General Laws Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee.* As previously reported, S 308 was recently amended to ensure its passage in the South Carolina Senate on April 23.* This arbitrary amendment weakened S 308 by limiting the hours a Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) holder may lawfully carry a firearm for self-defense in a restaurant that serves alcohol.* It also does not allow CWP holders to sit in the bar area of a restaurant, if it has one.

I have this Smith-Corona 03-A3 that I think has never been fired as I bought this years ago from a older guy who had all kinds of military weapons. I bought the fiberglass stock about 10 years ago thinking I would throw it on and shoot the gun but as you can see it never happened partly because I love wood stocks and this stock makes me ill just thinking about putting it on this beautifull action. Now I am thinking of a few things
1) find wood stock and put it on along with missing parts (sight, buttstock plate and so on)
2) trade it for another gun
3) put this ugly as crap stock on it along with other needed parts and shoot it

I need to find out if it had ever been shot as I am sure if it hasn't some collector would want it and since I am a accumulator and a shooter, a real collectors piece is not my bag.

"Please come to the public hearing regarding an ordinance that Commissioner Mathiesen has proposed that would prevent people from carrying guns openly on Broadway. The hearing is on May 21 at 6:50 at city hall and the vote will be held later during the meeting. Seems like a no brainer, but there are still people who strongly believe that there should be NO regulations regarding guns, so it's hard to say what kind of turnout there will be against the ordinance."

They are doing this as another way to rid themselves of the gun show!! Please come if you can.

Ok so here is the deal, the safe act timeline for registering firearms hasn't passed yet and there are no laws on stocks etc. for now, maybe you use this on a build out of state when you move, maybe you wait out the safe act being shot down and you keep it, maybe you put in on your AK now and register it as it is if the safe act sticks, maybe you hang it on your wall on a non-firing replica.....what you do is up to you and so is the legal responsibility of owning/using this item.

100 bucks shipped I'll entertain some offers, was on a WASR10, got replaced immediately and had the wood refinished and was put into storage, I forgot I had this laying around and I'm trying to get rid of stuff to move with a lighter load, so sorry, no trades. It is a side folder.

It's welded, so it no longer folds and I have no clue if this can be reversed, I'm not a welder, looks like a simple spot weld to me though.
A MESSAGE FROM SCOPE

March on Albany June 11th 2013

Are you having trouble viewing this message? Click here

A MESSAGE FROM SCOPE

March on Albany June 11th 2013

That's right Michael, The law enforcement community in a show of solidarity against the NY SAFE Act will be right beside the citizens of New York is yet another attempt to get the Legislators and Governor to listen to us.

Law enforcement groups have been planning to march on Albany before the legislative session ends in June. SCOPE has invited law enforcement groups to use June 11th as the day to walk along side of New York citizens and let the Governor and the Legislators know that not only does the SAFE ACT do nothing to prevent future crimes it infringes on the civil and constitutional rights of law abiding citizens.

SCOPE has been notified that Monroe county retirees ARPALER ( Association of Rochester Police and Area Law Enforcement Retirees) group, the Sheriffs Retirees (SOAR), and the Locust Club are reaching out to other law enforcement umbrella groups to participate in this rally. In other words, they are joining us and they are with us.

June 11th is a day when Law Enforcement Groups will stand side by side with the citizens of NY State and let the legislators in Albany knows that being elected by the people does not give you the authority to dictate unconstitutional laws to the people. It also shows the law abiding citizens of New York that Law Enforcement support’s them in this fight to repeal the Safe Act!!

We are all in for this. Andrew Cuomo and the downstate legislators are betting that we will loose interest and fade away. BE THERE!
June 11th check scopeny.org for buses and flyers for the event. Bring your spouse or children. Make them listen to us in Albany.
Bus information for the June 11th Rally is being updated all the time. New buses are being planned and when confirmed can be found on the SCOPE web site at scopeny.org. Bring your spouse your kids and grandkids. If you can't go, please consider a donation to help defray the cost of the buses.

Law Suit information: Our attorneys are working on our lawsuit against NY SAFE. We will keep you posted as it progresses.

SCOPE is Growing!
Chapter committees are forming from Long Island to Chataqua County.
