NY Firearms Monthly Lunches (Rochester)

We're going to start up a monthly lunch gathering in the Rochester area so we can get to know each other a little better. It'll allow you guys to meet us, and us to meet you. This will help with giving access to the private section, etc.

These are going to be held on the first saturday of every month. The first one is going to be January 3rd, 1PM, at the Distillery on Mt Hope. We will post in this thread where each of the meets will be, but figure it will be the around the same time.

I also encourage people to create their own lunches, gatherings, etc in other areas as the site grows. If you want, I can send you some NYF cards to hand out.

I'll create a new thread for each one to see who is going. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys! ;D

In any event, any reason we can't all meet for lunch in Henrietta around 11-noonish and then go to the gun show? Or all meet at the gun show when it opens and then go to lunch? It would be like a field trip, LOL and I'm willing to bet i'd learn a **** ton considering you'd all be looking at stuff, whether or not you were gonna buy it ya kno?

Usually a bunch of the local ARFCOM guys meet up for lunch but if I'm not meeting w/ them I'm down for lunch. We need to set up monthly shoot/training meet locally.

Mike, are your free a bit earlier? Like an 11:00 lunch and then head to the show like Gus said?

That is usually what I do, go to the show and then lunch.

Anything you're planning on picking up at the show? I'd expect prices are going to be much higher than the usual over-inflated prices seen there.

Small stuff like a couple ammo cans and plastic boxes to put my reloaded ammunition in. I know what that stuff should cost so if it's inflated I'll name my price and see if they take it or walk away.

I'd pick up some reloading stuff if it's a decent deal but I'm not hopeful of that. Could also use some gold dot in .40 and .380 but I haven't seen either caliber at the last 2 or 3 shows I've gone to.

I'm going to also be looking for some reloading stuff. I looked last show but didn't really see anything. I'm probably going to place an order with powder valley in a few weeks.

Theres usually a guy at the Syracuse show with lots of reloading stuff but I never see him in Rochester. He wasn't at the last syracuse show though.

Mike is meeting me at my house (right across the street from the dome) @ 8:30. We will be going right over after he arrives to get in line or wait in the car until they open they doors.

We are looking at a house in Henrietta in the AM so Kara and I will head to the dome after. Not sure what time though and not sure if we'll make it for food. :-\
