My concern is the other styles you can pull it tight until you don't want to. My issue with the buckle type is you have to guess how tight you want it and then buckle it. If its still loose or to tight then you have to unbuckle it and adjust the buckle again and repeat. Can you adjust the belt with it buckled easily?

Other than that it looks like a great belt. But I want to be able to pull until its tight and go. Because I carry different guns at different times in different positions sometimes with mags sometimes not my belt length is always changing. I don't carry at work, etc. so it's not like I'll be using one setting, I'll be adjusting it multiple times a day for differ daily carry or not carry situations.
Thanks for the input. The buckle on the VRI belt as well as the Ares belt is there only to keep the ends of the main belt secured. The main belt is adjusted with velcro then the 1" inch section with the buckle is sinched down to secure the whole belt. I agree it is deffinately different than the traditional riggers belt that you pull tight but there is one thing for sure, once you have the VRI belt were you want it, it doesnt slide or loosen at all. I am working on a few other designs. Thanks again for your feedback

Is it hard to adjust the velcro inside the belt loops? I've never had a belt that style.

Thanks, good to know. So is the process to remove the buckle, thread the belt, then replace the buckle, connect the two pieces of the buckle, then finally cinch down the velcro for the proper tightness?

The Kydex Reinforced Contour Belts are nice. The Kydex that's sandwiched between the leather keeps them nice and stuff, so they don't get "floppy" how leather can over time.

That would be great. I'd be interested in seeing how your belt works. I am looking for a darker belt (I have coyote tan now) and it'd be nice to see how your's adjusts

I put on my VRI belt without removing the buckle. I take the female side of the buckle, hold it against the belt and put it through my belt loops. Just regular jeans, nothing different about the pants.

How hard is it to get the Velcro tight within the belt loops? Seams it'd be difficult.

For leather I have an A&G belt, actually 2, one brown one black. The black is pretty much my every day wear (khakis & jeans) and I've had it for almost 2 years now, still holding up great, is comfortable and provides excellent support.

For nylon I use the Wilderness instructor belt, 1.5" 5 stitch, I wear it with cargo shorts and tac pants. It has good stiffness and support. I also have a 1.75" polymer lined version that I wear under my duty belt for max support.

They are awesome. I have been using one for the last few years and I love it.

Easy unless you order a belt that is way too long. I hold the end that goes underneath and pull the end that goes over the top tight and stick it down. No issues.

I wear an 1.5" wide black double-thickness leather belt I got from WalMart for $12.00 - holster doesn't flop around - works surprisingly well.

Finely crafted Chi-Com leather... I can smell it from here!...
