    Default Thermold mags

Many are sold as pre ban, but I see they are selling brand new ones too. Not sure what codes are molded into the new ones. I want to know what H22 and H21 means on the real pre-ban ones, the old ones. A mold run? A date code? Both? Anyone know? I'm looking on the net but not getting any solid answers yet.

I was under the impression that Thermold went out of business before 1994.

Mine have no date on them. Just H22 or H21 and an H on the other side with the company stamp.

The mags are well constructed, easy ro dissasemble and clean. However, they don't always hold the bolt open on the last round, and don't always engage unless the bolt is open. Compared to the pmag its night and day.

I would love to get my hands on a bunch of thermolds (25-30). I can never find them in a quantity larger than 2-4 though.

Orlites are Israeli military issue so they're probably pretty good.

I guess the thermold mags were dubbed thermelts by the Canadian military because the feed lips melted with sustained fire.
