Ideas for the site

Been looking at the mods and what not... I tried playing with the text color, but I really couldn't find one that looked good and was more legible than the way it is now. So, that will have to stay for the time-being.

I was thinking about adding a Gallery. Thoughts? I know Dave and Ron will say "OMFG why would you post up pics of your gunz!??!?!" I bet we could make it for members only or something to help that, but I'll leave it all up to you guys.

Also, what about an invite only section? Something where they have to be referred to get in. At the very minimum, someone has to vouch for them, that they are who they say they are. Thoughts?

Automatic Karma... I think I will add this mod to the site, because it allows for people to get "Karma" based on their posts and topics. Thoughts?

Any other ideas?

I can't say I'm a fan of the invite only rule. I don't think the site is large enough yet to start limiting people to join by invite only.

Awesome idea.  There are things that people would probably say or show others that they would not in a public area.

If I get what mike is saying it's just one section of the forum.  Hopefully it would be invisible to people w/o access to it so no one would even know unless they were invited.

How about a shop mod? You get points for posting, etc, and then can buy things like colored user titles, etc

i like the idea of a gallery. the reason why is because im new to guns and you can only see and learn so much from a magazine. some of the guns i saw you guys post are beautiful works of art imo. it would be for those who are ok with lettting people know what they own. or maybe u can make the gallery so only registered users can see the pix.

Yeah I think at the very minimum it would be registered users only.

I would avoid the 'invite' section Mike. If they can't say it here in the open area, then it don't need to be said.

Ok I added some small things to the site, and also added a gallery. I will create some categories so people can upload pics to them.

Also tried to install the shop and points system, but I've having trouble with it.

Probably going to add a private section as some people may feel it will be more secure.

Any other ideas?
