Default New Tulammo Brass Maxx, brass cased FMJ ammunition

So I saw something new on the shelf today, Tulammo brass cased ammo. They are calling it Brass Maxx.
It looked decent, so I picked up a few boxes of .223. there was also .40 and .45 on the shelf. Decent retail price point as well:

    .223: $16.97/50 rounds
    .40 & .45: $19.97/50 rounds

I bought 150 rounds and after tax it was $54.98, which works out to $.36 per

The specs on the .223 are as follows: 55 gr, FMJ, brass cased, non-corrosive, comes in a plastic tray, "Tulammo 223 rem" headstamp. The box indicates it's made in Italy, so it may be contracted out. Someone on ar15.com suggested it may be by Fiocchi... unsure though.

Some pics of the .223 for you to take a look at:

I gave Gunner57 a ring, I may head over to his place to run a few of these and see what we think. Stay tuned.....

Same here. The clerk told me he got Federal in also and when I joked it was gone in 2 minutes he said it didn't even make it into the display case, 2 guys took the 4 boxes he got in. So I settled for these, and I hope they'll run good.

Thanks man. If I can ever find a set of .223 dies now I'd be totally set. Well, one that isn't going for $300. xD

This stuff is already on armslist and gunbroker for $35-40 a box or more. It looks like someone in Rochester actually is a seller. Not me though, I'm gonna shoot this stuff.

Looking at my Fiocchi ammo, the primer crimp looks identical, it wouldn't surprise me if it was made on the same machinery.

Looking around online, it seems like the best info indicates it's loaded by Fiocchi using Fiocchi brass.... As of today, it's not listed on Tula website, so I'm still not sure I guess.
