I've shot thousands of brown bear steel case both in 55 and 65 gr with maybe 2 FTE's total. I've seen worse with normal brass fmj. The first 40 rounds through my m4 were wolf and no more will go through it.

my beater ar will eat whatever .223/5.56 i put in it. I have shot thousands of rounds of wolf and never had a problem.

N0.  It is just cheap milspec (Russian milspec) ammo that can be sold here for less due to the economics involved.  I have not used the .223 stuff, but find that Wolf .45 ACP is as good as U.S. issue ammo in regard to MV and accuracy....  In addition, the steel cases can be reloaded using carbide dies for sizing. (The .45 ACP zstuff has Boxer primers....)  We made and sued steel case .45 ACP during WWII.  It was about like this Wolf stuff....

Steel cases are OK as long as they remain rust-free......
