Default Gloves for cold weather shooting?

Anyone have gloves that they like? I plan to be on the rifle range a little over the winter and i'm a whiny little baby when it comes to the cold :P I want to find something that allows some dexterity so I can load mags and feel the trigger but still keep me kind of warm.

Last year I wore some paintball gloves which ended up being pretty much pointless. Might as well been bare handed. lol.

Check out Hatch. They usually have some good stuff.

Look at www.lapolicegear.com or similar sites for them as well

I enjoy large gortex military gloves. Yes, they are big, but they are warm,, even doing a two hour security check outside in 5 degree weather,,,,,

When you learn to present during cold weather, add rip to the step.

If you enjoy the gimicks and use the Hatch's, they are great,, but make certain you train with them on alot,, including
manipulating failure to fire and reloads,,,

For simple hunting or range use,, hatches are great,,

Thanks guys. I'll look at Hatch.

I'm not looking for gloves to shoot my pistol. I don't wear gloves out and about so I don't shoot on the range with them. Mostly for the rifle range since I'm out there for quite a while and hate taking my gloves off to load mags.

ddan I probably have those same shotgun gloves. Orange mittens with black fleece gloves inside and a hole in the trigger finger?

Just shot for 2 hours on Saturday in mid teens temps with wind using these:

    Under Armour | UA Fleece Glove | 1006611 | $29.99

Not bad, very thin, very grippy palms. I could load my 1911 mags with ease as well as perform all the drills we did without any issues. Had to pop my hands into my jacket pockets during longer waits to fire, but it was pretty windy.

Hey There may be some useful info on the glove topic here.

I didn't read the whole thread but these guys usually beat a topic pretty hard.

I have a pair of military surplus gore tex gloves, you know the ones that pilots wear, and the thumbs are waaaay too long. Otherwise they fit perfectly but there's an extra half inch of thumb hanging out there getting caught on stuff.

Maybe I have short thumbs...I didn't think so but I guess it's possible. I prefer a pair of mechanix gloves or similar. They're warm enough usually (especially the insulated ones) and provide pretty good feel. If it's really cold, I'll put a pair of the silver glove liners under them. That seems to work pretty well.

I did a lot of reading and ended up with these. Haven't shot with them. I kind of wish they were a little tighter but if I went down one size the finger are too short.

Bought these for the motorcycle but use them more for shooting. Not for 5 degree weather but still pretty warm and great feel.
