SCOPE has never supported or proposed a renewable license in NY, nor have we ever asked any legislator to do so. Anyone telling you otherwise is playing fast and loose with the facts.

The information you are posting is from confidential documents and conversations leaked by persons unknown. What was discussed was the POSSIBLE responses to legislation introduced by the Governor and others.

The membership and Board of directors of SCOPE rejected any such proposal.

Ken Mathison, President
SCOPE, Inc.

Normal people to to Best Buy and Wal-Mart for black friday. Not me. I went to the local gun shop and picked one of these babies up. I bought it for 525.00 plus 72.00 for a high-low mount and 99.99 for a holographic sight. It catches alot of eyes at gun clubs.

My folks live in upstate, where I grew up, and having recently met a woman there, I am considering moving back. It's hard to adjust to NYS laws after living out west, (AZ currently) and I am into retro ARs, which means I'd have to permanently modify a historic barrel - but I am in the process of building a NYS legal KISS carbine - it has an A1 C7 type upper, Delton lower, A1 fixed stock (shorter than A2) 14.5" M4 barrel & HGs with a PWS FSC556 compensator permanently pinned. The lower is not pre-ban, but all the mags I'll be bringing with me will be. I intend to maintain my AZ 'citizenship' as I have a legal residence here, but my 9mm SBR will have to stay here I suppose. I really enjoyed my recent trip to NYS, but I really hate the stupid gun laws.
